How to get first class postage to increase to $3 each with five easy steps. This is about public speaking. However, it is also about getting people to think. People usually think the same way. That is, unless someone comes along and makes them think differently. Here is an example of how you can make them think differently in your public speaking.
Your challenge, is to make them think differently. It is to persuade them to think differently.
Here is an example.
How many have ever received junk mail? How many like it? How many love it?
How many would like to have it go away for ever?
You just got them to commit to their deeply held belief.
Next ask…What would it be worth for you to never ever have to receive junk mail again.
The so called junk mail industry (actually to your postman there is no such thing as junk mail) is worth 10 million jobs annually.
So, would it be worth watching your mailman to lose his job. How about some advertising people, some artist, printers, and well this list could go on.
And what would it cost in the cost of our mail. A first class letter should not cost more than about $2 to $3 for a regular letter, say a bill payment. That is, if the so called junk mail did not subsidize the cost of our mail.
So, how much would you be willing to pay. If you don’t want it, if it goes away, you will pay.

They probably make up the smallest part of the 10 million jobs.
* Credit bureaus. To cut out credit card and other financial offers, contact each of the three bureaus…which is probably a good idea given all the identity theft.
The Direct Marketing Association. DMAchoice.org will let you opt out of its offers entirely and put an artist and printer on the street. Or choose which nonprofits, catalogs, magazines and discount clubs you still want to hear from.

Then at the bottom of your hand out, put a line like….Remember, $2 to $3 postage for sending a bill in the mail, less postmen, less working artist, copywriters, printers and others. How much is it worth? How much in human loss and increased cost? How many children, even babies will have dads and moms looking for jobs all for the want of not getting junk mail.
Yea, things are bad right now. Lets make them worse and put 10 million more people out of work. What is it worth?
