Awsome Ad: Look and Learn
Sunday, November 15th, 2009‘Hi all,
I came across this ad on Noblood.com where I occasionally moderate.
I am not sure if this url will get you in. The ad is not that flashy or fancy. But it is very powerful.
I am not an affiliate so have nothing to gain (although after this posting I will look into becoming an affiliate.
If you cannot get into the site, below is the link to the actual ad with the simple video. Cut and paste to see if it will let you in. Then look for the graphic that looks like someone scribbled the words out.
It says,
1 Tip of a flat belly:
Cut down 3 lbs of your belly every week by using this 1 weird old tip
(Ad is no longer available)
Notice how he leads you into the topic. As you listen, watch what he does to keep you listening. Also watch what he gives away. Then, once giving that information away, what does he do next?
If you create an ad for yourself, do it like this and you will get some serious interest.

Anyone can boil down the current information available and published on any health care topic. If you want to wow the audience, consider digging deep to find the evidence based medicine research. Then connect the dots.
I do not think it was noted in the article but a question to ask: is there an association with the latitude and the lack of vitamin D. Do some research. Connect the dots.
Give your audience information that can help them solve long lasting problems, help them connect the dots and be empowered. In so doing, you will have a priceless reward. You will have helped another human being.
Is this Ethical Public Speaking?
Friday, November 6th, 2009Understanding the ethics in public speaking will prevent you from ever being a topic of conversation about ethics.
Consider what Lawrence Ari Fleischer, a former communications director himself said November 2, 20009
“It is a really significant check on Barack Obamma’s first year in office. I don’t think anybody can minimize what it means to the president.”
But wait….back in November 5 2001 at the beginning of the George W Bush presidency he said….
“You have to take a look at off year elections as local elections primarily. It think there is a pretty universal view on that. Typically these type of off year elections reflect local events, local politics.”
Is this ethical?
Remember, there is a philosophy of all is fair in love and politics. Or was that love and war?
In 1578 John Lyly, a renaissance English poet and playwright, wrote in Euphues, “The rules of fair play do not apply in love and war.”
Put political views aside. Was it ethical? What do you think? Yes or No? Consider the exact words.
To help you see the shades of gray in deciding if this is ethical or not, consider …..
Pathos Ethics
Logos Ethics
Mores Ethics
You can find them at The Speechmastery.com Ethics Section.
